HUGO SPRING 2013 PART TWO

I’ve already shared part one of my favorite looks from Thursday’s HUGO Fashion Show with you on Saturday and what could possibly be better than kicking off the week by showing you part two of the runway highlights.
According to HUGO, the spring of 2013 will be dominated by a strong green color (fresh), classic black (of course) and shiny fabrics (hallo future!). Boys, this means you’ve got to get at least one colored suit for spring. Shiny blue or strong green? The decision is yours. And girls, I don’t know about you, but I instantly put the shiny jumpsuit on the very top of my spring wish list (the sleeves rock). And  there is this amazing long black dress that Kasia Struss was wearing on the runway – pure perfection! Just like Kate Bosworth I love the metallic strap detail. And that’s exactly what HUGO is all about: Classic and modern looks with edgy details. Now my only question is: Can we skip fall/winter and move right on to spring 2013?

HUGO SPRING 2013 PART ONE

Let’s make this Saturday a very fashion forward one and enjoy the first part of the runway highlights from the HUGO Spring 2013 collection, which was presented in Berlin on Thursday. Inspired by pop art and virtual reality, the collection consists of classic and modern pieces with spacy details and futuristic accessories. Beige and black meet shiny materials and strong colors like mint green and cobalt blue. I immediately fell in love with this collection, because it’s fashion forward and futuristic, but still very classy. Watch the video of the fashion show to see all the looks and stay tuned for more highlights here on the HUGO Blog.

ON THE RED CARPET

You could literally hear the celebrities arriving at the ice skating arena in Berlin Mitte, the location of the HUGO Fashion Show Spring/Summer 2013. Every few minutes the photographers and journalists started screaming another A-List name: “Poppy, Poppy, to the left, please, Poppy, Poppy, turn, Poppy … Kate, look her, Kate, Kate, gorgeous, Kate, Kate!” Despite the summer heat, everyone managed to look effortless and relaxed: Hollywood actress Kate Bosworth looked breathtaking in a little black HUGO dress (you have to check out the back), it-girl Poppy Delevigne opted for a short yet elegant HUGO party dress and China Chow and HUGO Tracks artist Nina Kraviz kept it cool and simple wearing black pants with a white sleeveless blouse (China) and grey skinnies with a sexy leather top (Nina). Take a look!

GOOD TIMES WITH MR GOODE

Have you watched Tom Ford’s “A Single Man” or Woody Allen’s “Match Point”? Then you definitely remember the talented British actor Matthew Goode, who starred in both movies. Today he’s here in Berlin to see the HUGO Fashion Show and stopped by earlier at the fitting to pick out his outfit for the red carpet. He’s charming, down-to-earth and really funny. In the first picture he’s cuddling our PR girl Ellen, the second photo was shot during his fitting with HUGO menswear designer Bart and the third picture shows him filling out our HUGO questionnaire. Since I haven’t got access to a scanner right now, I guess this little shot will do. And just so you know, according to Matthew fashion is… “an interesting sideline.”

QUICK HELLO FROM BERLIN FASHION WEEK

Here’s a quick hello from Berlin Fashion Week. From the HUGO show location’s backstage area to be precise. The city is buzzing with excitement and so are we. Today we’ve been busy fitting the final show looks on our runway models, who are not only drop-dead gorgeous, but also lots of fun. There are so many newcomers walking this time, for example charming French model Adrien Sahores from Paris (top picture, on the right) or down-to-earth cutie Robin Ahrens from Cologne (top picture, on the left). As if Berlin wasn’t magnificent and lively enough by itself, throughout Fashion Week with all its shows and notorious parties, it’s even more worth a trip and a guaranteed thrill. Speaking of shows, I can’t wait to see all the exquisite pieces HUGO will have on the menu at their show on Thursday! And speaking of HUGO, guess who was lucky enough to be invited to a fitting at the HUGO Store here in Berlin? Bingo! And of course, little old me couldn’t resist but to immediately fall in love with basically ALL the amazingly beautiful shoes I was shown at the store! Truly lost my heart to more than one pair, but you know, pretty shoes are always worth a sin… Anyway, can’t wait till Thursday’s here and I will get back to you from Berlin’s fashion frenzy!
